Altamont Indians (Altamont, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting St. Elmo/Brownstown Eagles (St. Elmo, IL), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 4-9 record. They take the field next when they host Ramsey for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12. Altamont will battle a Rams squad coming off a 17-3 league loss to Mulberry Grove (Mulberry Grove, IL). The Rams record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, St. Elmo/Brownstown falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Farina South Central (Farina, IL) to battle the Cougars in a National Trail challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Farina South Central lost 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodlawn (Woodlawn, IL)
