The Lawrence County Bulldogs softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Belfry Pirates to 7 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Lawrence County moves its record to 13-2 on the year. The Bulldogs host Floyd Central (Eastern, KY) to clash with the Jaguars in a District 58 game on Monday, April 18. The Jaguars come into the game with a record of 3-7.
In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Paintsville Tigers (Paintsville, KY) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 14. Belfry will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 6-3 record after their 12-11 league win over Martin County (Inez, KY).
