Blackford Bruins (Hartford City, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Wabash Apaches (Wabash, IN), 16-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Bruins now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Eastern for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 14. Blackford will battle a Comets squad coming off a 9-3 league win over Tri-Central (Sharpsville, IN). The Comets record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Wabash falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Apaches travel to Mississinewa (Gas City, IN) to battle the Indians in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Mississinewa lost 13-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Wapahani (Selma, IN)
