Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Guilford Grizzlies (Guilford, CT), 5-1 in a league challenge.

The Rams now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waterford for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12.

With the loss, Guilford falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Mercy (Middletown, CT) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 13. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Mercy won 17-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Lyman Hall (Wallingford, CT)
