Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Midland for a Tri-County challenge on Tuesday, April 12. Dwight will battle a Timberwolves squad coming off a 21-0 league loss to Woodland (Streator, IL). The Timberwolves record now stands at 0-7.

With the loss, Clifton Central falls to 7-3 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Grant Park (Grant Park, IL) to battle the Dragons in a River Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Grant Park lost 13-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodland (Streator, IL)
