West Lafayette Red Devils (West Lafayette, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Crawfordsville Athenians (Crawfordsville, IN), 15-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Red Devils now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Benton Central for a Hoosier challenge on Tuesday, April 12. West Lafayette will face a Bison squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Lafayette Central Catholic (Lafayette, IN). The Bison record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Crawfordsville falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Athenians travel to Danville (Danville, IN) to face the Warriors in a Sagamore challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 2-0.
