Fairfield Falcons (Goshen, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wawasee Warriors (Syracuse, IN), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Churubusco for a Northeast Corner challenge on Tuesday, April 12. Fairfield will face a Eagles squad coming off a 20-12 non-league win over Fort Wayne Snider (Fort Wayne, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Wawasee falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Warriors host Columbia City (Columbia City, IN) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Columbia City won 17-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Marion (Marion, IN)
