The Morrison Mustangs softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Galena Pirates to 4 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Morrison moves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Mustangs host Riverdale (Port Byron, IL) to clash with the Rams in a Three Rivers game on Wednesday, April 20. The Rams come into the game with a record of 7-5.
In their next game, the Pirates clash with the East Dubuque Warriors (East Dubuque, IL) in a NUIC West game, on Tuesday, April 12. Galena will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 3-1 record after their 10-6 league win over Fulton (Fulton, IL).
