In Monday's non-league contest, the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) softball team overwhelmed the visiting North Stanly Comets (New London, NC), by a margin of 7-0.

With the triumph, West Stanly moves its record to 12-3 on the year. The Colts host Parkwood (Monroe, NC) to play the Wolf Pack in a Rocky River 2A/3A contest on Tuesday, April 12. The Wolf Pack come into the contest with a record of 6-8. Parkwood lost 6-3 in their recent non-league contest against Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC)

In their next game, the Comets play the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A contest, on Tuesday, April 26. North Stanly will attempt to move on its 11-5 season record.
