The crowd at Monday's league match between the Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) and the host Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL), saw Pontiac's softball squad achieve victory over Rantoul by a count of 16-1.

The Indians now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Tolono Unity for a Illini Prairie match on Wednesday, April 13. Pontiac will face a Rockets squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Okaw Valley (Bethany, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Rantoul falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Blue Ridge (Farmer City, IL) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 12. The Knights enter the match with a record of 3-5. Blue Ridge lost 9-3 in their recent league match against Cumberland (Toledo, IL)
