In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Hermleigh Cardinals baseball team scored a nice 18-5 victory over the Jayton Jaybirds.
The Cardinals (4-8) will now prepare for their game against Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene (Abilene, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 4-10 record. In their last game, Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene was overwhelmed by Eula (Clyde, TX), 10-2, in a league game.
The Jaybirds (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Crosbyton (Crosbyton, TX). The Chiefs go into the 1A Region I District 3 game with a 6-10 record. In their last game, Crosbyton was overwhelmed by Floydada (Floydada, TX), 21-1, in a non-league game.
