West Virginia High School Baseball - Lincoln gets by Preston

April 11, 2023: Kingwood, WV 26537

Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 9-7 in a league test.

With the win, Lincoln upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season. The Cougars host Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV) to battle the Colts in a Big Ten test on Wednesday, April 12. The Colts come into the test with a record of 7-8. Philip Barbour lost 10-4 in their recent league test against East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV)

With the defeat, Preston falls to 4-7 on the season. The Knights travel to Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV) to battle the Eagles in a Big Ten test on Thursday, April 13. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 7-6. Robert C. Byrd won 19-7 in their recent league test against Liberty (Clarksburg, WV)
