The Rains Wildcats crushed the visiting Wills Point Tigers baseball team by a count of 7-1 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Wildcats now possess a 19-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canton for a non-league bout on Friday, April 14. Rains will face a Eagles team coming off a 17-3 league win over Ford (Quinlan, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 20-2.

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Ford Panthers (Quinlan, TX) in a 4A Region II District 14 game, on Tuesday, April 18. Wills Point will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Panthers go into the game with a 9-13 record after their 10-0 league loss to Mabank (Mabank, TX).
