The Salida Spartans baseball team (Salida, CO), was overwhelmed 16-5 in Tuesday's non-league outing with the visiting Rye Thunderbolts (Rye, CO)

The Thunderbolts now hold a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crowley County for a 2A/1A Santa Fe outing on Saturday, April 15. Rye will confront a Chargers team coming off a 12-5 non-league win over Ellicott (Calhan, CO). The Chargers record now stands at 7-4.

Next, the Spartans confront the Florence Huskies (Florence, CO) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, April 15. Salida will attempt to advance on its 3-7 season record. The Huskies go into the outing with a 0-9 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Wiley (Wiley, CO).
