The Saugerties Sawyers lacrosse team scored 9 points and held the host Averill Park Warriors to 6 in the Sawyers non-league win on Tuesday.
The Sawyers (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY). The Bushmen go into the non-league game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Pine Bush nudged Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY), 11-3, in a league game.
The Warriors (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Shenendehowa (Clifton Park, NY). The Plainsmen go into the Section 2 Suburban - Blue game with a 2-2 record.
