Northgate Broncos (Walnut Creek, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Alhambra Bulldogs (Martinez, CA), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Broncos now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Miramonte for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 12. Northgate will battle a Matadors squad coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Acalanes (Lafayette, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 0-9.

With the loss, Alhambra falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host College Park (Pleasant Hill, CA) to battle the Falcons in a Diablo - Foothill challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 8-3. College Park won 12-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Acalanes (Lafayette, CA)
