Altamont Indians (Altamont, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ramsey Rams (Ramsey, IL), 9-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they host Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City for a National Trail challenge on Thursday, April 13. Altamont will battle a Bobcats squad coming off a 12-1 non-league loss to Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Ramsey falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Rams host Odin/Patoka/Sandoval (Sandoval, IL) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Odin/Patoka/Sandoval lost 14-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Okawville (Okawville, IL)
