Campbell County Camels (Alexandria, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Newport Wildcats (Newport, KY), 21-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Camels now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Notre Dame Academy for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 12. Campbell County will battle a Pandas squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Boone County (Florence, KY). The Pandas record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Newport falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Walton-Verona (Walton, KY) to battle the Bearcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 12. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a record of 1-9. Walton-Verona lost 8-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Owen County (Owenton, KY)
