Caravel Buccaneers (Bear, DE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Buccaneers now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Conwell-Egan Catholic for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15.

With the loss, Smyrna falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Queen Anne's County (Centreville, MD) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Queen Anne's County won 13-5 in their recent league challenge against Kent County (Worton, MD)
