Dawson-Bryant Hornets (Coal Grove, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Minford Falcons (Minford, OH), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Portsmouth for a Ohio Valley challenge on Wednesday, April 12. Dawson-Bryant will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 11-10 non-league loss to Northwest (McDermott, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Minford falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH) to battle the Senators in a Southern Ohio II challenge on Wednesday, April 12. The Senators enter the challenge with a record of 9-0. Portsmouth West won 13-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Gallia Academy (Gallipolis, OH)
