Winnebago Indians (Winnebago, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Harlem Huskies (Machesney Park, IL), 11-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Byron for a Big Northern challenge on Wednesday, April 12. Winnebago will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 14-0 league loss to North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Harlem falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Huskies host Hononegah (Rockton, IL) to battle the Indians in a Northern Illinois NIC-9 challenge on Wednesday, April 12. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Hononegah won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL)
