South Cougars (Salina, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Haysville Campus Colts (Wichita, KS), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Maize for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. South will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Liberal (Liberal, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Haysville Campus falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Colts travel to Hutchinson (Hutchinson, KS) to battle the Salthawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. The Salthawks enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Hutchinson lost 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Maize South (Wichita, KS)
