Rhode Island High School Softball - Lincoln holds off Woonsocket

Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Lincoln Lions (Lincoln, RI) and the visiting Woonsocket Villa Novans (Woonsocket, RI), witnessed Lincoln's softball squad tip Woonsocket by a count of 6-4.

The Lions now sport a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Toll Gate for a Division 2 match on Thursday, April 13. Lincoln will meet a Titans squad coming off a 17-5 league loss to Barrington (Barrington, RI). The Titans record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Woonsocket moves to 1-1 on the season. The Villa novans host West Warwick (West Warwick, RI) to meet the Wizards in a Division 2 match on Thursday, April 13. The Wizards go into the match with a record of 1-2. West Warwick lost 4-3 in their recent league match against Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI)
