Needles Mustangs (Needles, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Varsity Opponent (, ), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 17-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Mead Academy for a 2A- Southern challenge on Friday, April 14. Needles will face a Eagles squad coming off a 20-3 league win over Democracy Prep Agassi Campus (Las Vegas, NV). The Eagles record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Varsity Opponent falls to 10-33 on the campaign. The travel to Newman International Academy (Arlington, TX) to face the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
