In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting St. Peter Saints baseball team scored a tight 6-2 victory over the Mankato East Cougars.
The Saints (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Stewartville (Stewartville, MN). The Tigers go into the non-league game with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Stewartville tipped Byron (Byron, MN), 5-4, in a league game.
The Cougars (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Century (Rochester, MN). The Panthers go into the Big 9 game with a 1-0 record.
