In Thursday's non-league battle, the host J.P. Stevens Hawks volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Kennedy Memorial Mustangs.

The Hawks now have a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Brunswick for a non-league test on Friday, April 12. J.P. Stevens will confront a Bears team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Monroe Township (Monroe Township, NJ). The Bears record now stands at 1-6.

The Mustangs (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Colonia (Colonia, NJ). The Patriots enter the non-league test with a 4-2 record.
