St. Charles East Fighting Saints (St. Charles, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Downers Grove North Trojans (Downers Grove, IL), 13-12 in a non-league challenge.
The Fighting Saints now own a 1-0 record.
With the loss, Downers Grove North falls to 4-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL) to battle the Knights in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
