The Hammond Skyhawks held off the visiting First Baptist School Hurricanes soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Thursday's non-league match.
The Skyhawks now sport a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Cardinal Newman for a SCISA AAAA Region I match on Monday, April 15. Hammond will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 6-0 league win over Ben Lippen (Columbia, SC). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-0.
