Ben Lomond Scots (Ogden, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Rowland Hall Winged Lions (Salt Lake City, UT), 26-16 in a non-league challenge.

The Scots now own a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grantsville for a 3A Region 13 challenge on Friday, April 12. Ben Lomond will battle a Cowboys squad coming off a 18-0 league win over Ogden (Ogden, UT). The Cowboys record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Rowland Hall falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Winged lions host North Summit (Coalville, UT) to battle the Braves in a 2A North challenge on Friday, April 12. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. North Summit lost 18-1 in their recent league challenge against Altamont (Altamont, UT)
