Watertown Indians (Watertown, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Derby Red Raiders (Derby, CT), 16-4 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Paul Catholic for a Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge on Monday, April 15. Watertown will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 9-4 non-league loss to Naugatuck (Naugatuck, CT). The Falcons record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Derby falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Red raiders host Waterbury Career Academy (Waterbury, CT) to battle the Spartans in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge on Monday, April 15. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 1-4.
