York Dukes (Elmhurst, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Glenbard North Panthers (Carol Stream, IL), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Dukes now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Maine South for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. York will face a Hawks squad coming off a 13-3 league win over Evanston (Evanston, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Glenbard North falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL) to face the Fighting Saints in a DuKane challenge on Friday, April 12. The Fighting Saints enter the challenge with a record of 6-3. St. Charles East won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL)
