The Mankato East Cougars softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Le Sueur-Henderson Giants to 6 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Mankato East moves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Cougars travel to Century (Rochester, MN) to clash with the Panthers in a Big 9 game on Saturday, April 13. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 2-1. Century won 8-2 in their recent league game against John Marshall (Rochester, MN)

In their next game, the Giants clash with the Jefferson Jaguars (Bloomington, MN) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 15. Le Sueur-Henderson will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Jaguars come into the game with a 1-1 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Osseo (Osseo, MN).
