Arizona High School Softball - Tanque Verde bounces San Tan Foothills

Tanque Verde Hawks (Tucson, AZ) fans exited the stadium satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their softball squad prevail over the visiting San Tan Foothills Sabercats (Queen Creek, AZ), 27-2 in a non-league match.

The Hawks now sport a 12-9 record. They play next when they travel to Catalina for a 3A South match on Friday, April 12. Tanque Verde will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 17-1 league loss to Thatcher (Thatcher, AZ). The Trojans record now stands at 1-11.

With the loss, San Tan Foothills moves to 4-13 on the season. The Sabercats travel to Valley Christian (Chandler, AZ) to meet the Trojans in a 3A South Central match on Monday, April 15. The Trojans go into the match with a record of 20-2. Valley Christian won 19-2 in their recent league match against Globe (Globe, AZ)
