In Friday's non-league bout, the Byron Tigers (Byron, IL) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Belvidere North Blue Thunder (Belvidere, IL), by a tally of 11-4.
Next up, the Tigers encounter the Galena Pirates (Galena, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 12. Byron will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Pirates enter the bout with a 7-2 record after their 5-2 league win over East Dubuque (East Dubuque, IL).
The Blue Thunder (3-6) will now prepare for their bout against Jefferson (Rockford, IL). The J-Hawks enter the Northern Illinois bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, Jefferson was overwhelmed by Winnebago (Winnebago, IL), 5-4, in a non-league bout.
