The McDonell Central Macks baseball team scored 13 runs and held the host Cumberland Beavers to 7 in the Macks non-league win on Friday.
The Macks now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chetek-Weyerhaeuser for a non-league test on Saturday, April 12. McDonell Central will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Spooner (Spooner, WI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Cumberland drops to 1-4 on the year. The Beavers host Hayward (Hayward, WI) to play the Hurricanes in a Heart O'North test on Tuesday, April 15. The Hurricanes go into the test with a record of 4-0. Hayward won 6-2 in their recent league test against Ladysmith (Ladysmith, WI)
