In Friday's non-league bout, the La Porte Slicers (La Porte, IN) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Griffith Panthers (Griffith, IN), by a tally of 10-0.

Next up, the Slicers encounter the Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN) in a Duneland bout, on Tuesday, April 15. La Porte will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Indians enter the bout with a 5-0 record after their 10-4 non-league win over Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN).

The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against River Forest (Hobart, IN). The Ingots enter the Greater Southshore bout with a 4-1 record. In their last bout, River Forest overcame Gary West Side (Gary, IN), 17-1, in a non-league bout.
