In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Limestone Rockets baseball team scored a close 6-4 win over the Lincoln Railsplitters.
The Rockets (9-6) will now prepare for their game against Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Eagles go into the Mid-Illini game with a 9-4 record. In their last game, Dunlap nudged Normal West (Normal, IL), 8-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Railsplitters play the Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 12. Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Hawks go into the game with a 3-8 record after their 3-2 league loss to St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL).
