Texas High School Baseball - Overton defeats Union Grove

April 11, 2025: Overton, TX 75684

The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX) and the visiting Union Grove Lions (Gladewater, TX), saw Overton's baseball team gain a win over Union Grove by a tally of 9-1.

The Mustangs (19-6) will now prepare for their battle against Beckville (Beckville, TX). The Bearcats enter the 2A Region III District 19 battle with a 15-3 record. In their last battle, Beckville was overwhelmed by Harleton (Harleton, TX), 10-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Lions face the Ore City Rebels (Ore City, TX) in a 2A Region III District 19 battle, on Tuesday, April 15. Union Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Rebels enter the battle with a 12-7 record after their 13-5 league loss to Waskom (Waskom, TX).
