The Payson Longhorns baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host St. Johns Redskins to 1 in the Longhorns non-league win on Friday.

The Longhorns now own a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they host Safford for a non-league test on Saturday, April 12. Payson will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Globe (Globe, AZ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-7.

With the defeat, St. Johns drops to 8-10 on the year. The Redskins travel to Florence (Florence, AZ) to play the Gophers in a non-league test on Saturday, April 12.
