In Friday's non-league game, the visiting St. John's Pioneers baseball team scored a close 4-2 win over the Pope Francis Prep Cardinals.
The Pioneers (5-0) will now prepare for their game against Malden Catholic (Malden, MA). The Lancers go into the Catholic game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Malden Catholic by Bristol-Plymouth RVT (Taunton, MA), 5-1, in a non-league game.
