Lenape Valley Patriots (Stanhope, NJ) backers exited the stadium satisfied Friday as they saw their lacrosse team nip the visiting Newark Academy Minutemen (Livingston, NJ), 12-11 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Lenape Valley improves its record to 3-1 on the season. The Patriots host Kittatinny Regional (Newton, NJ) to play the Cougars in a non-league game on Monday, April 14. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 0-3.

The Minutemen now have a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Orange for a non-league game on Monday, April 14. Newark Academy will play a Mountaineers team coming off a 17-10 non-league win over Academy of St. Elizabeth (Convent Station, NJ). The Mountaineers record now stands at 4-1.
