The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Marshfield Pirates (Coos Bay, OR) and the visiting Sweet Home Huskies (Sweet Home, OR), saw Marshfield's baseball team gain a win over Sweet Home by a tally of 12-2.

The Pirates (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Junction City (Junction City, OR). The Tigers enter the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Junction City was overwhelmed by North Marion (Aurora, OR), 19-2, in a non-league battle.

With the defeat, Sweet Home drops to 0-1 on the year. The Huskies travel to Cascade (Turner, OR) to play the Cougars in a non-league test on Monday, April 21. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 4-3. Cascade won 16-9 in their recent non-league test against North Marion (Aurora, OR)
