Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE) boosters exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Lincoln East Spartans (Lincoln, NE), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Grand Island moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Islanders host Lincoln High (Lincoln, NE) to clash with the Links in a test on Saturday, April 19. The Links come into the test with a record of 1-3.

The Spartans now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Millard North for a non-league test on Saturday, April 12. Lincoln East will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Bellevue West (Bellevue, NE). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-4.
