New York High School Lacrosse - Gowanda overwhelms Akron

In Friday's league challenge, the visiting Gowanda Panthers lacrosse squad scored a tight 12-8 triumph over the Akron Tigers.

The Panthers (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Niagara-Wheatfield (Sanborn, NY). The Falcons go into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Newfane Panthers (Newfane, NY) in a Class D challenge, on Saturday, April 12. Akron will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Panthers go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 15-2 league loss to Medina (Medina, NY).
