The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) and the visiting Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL), observed Reed-Custer's softball team get by Dwight by a tally of 9-4.

The Comets (6-4) will now prepare for their bout against Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Panthers go into the Illinois Central Eight bout with a 7-2 record. In their last bout, Manteno was routed by Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN), 10-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Henry-Senachwine Mallards (Henry, IL) in a Tri-County bout, on Tuesday, April 15. Dwight will attempt to advance on its 3-7 season record.
