The Perryville Mustangs triumphed over the host Harmony Grove Cardinals softball squad by a count of 8-1 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Jessieville Lions (Jessieville, AR) in a 3A Region 5 challenge, on Monday, April 14. Perryville will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 5-3 league loss to Two Rivers (Ola, AR).

The Cardinals (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Genoa Central (Texarkana, AR). The Dragons enter the non-league challenge with a 15-4 record. In their last challenge, Genoa Central edged Ashdown (Ashdown, AR), 18-0, in a league challenge.
