In Friday's non-league test, the Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Highland Park Scots (St. Paul, MN), by a count of 19-9.

Next, the Spartans meet the South St. Paul Packers (South St. Paul, MN) in a Classic Suburban test, on Monday, April 14. Simley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Packers go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 11-2 non-league win over Mahtomedi (Mahtomedi, MN).

The Scots (0-2) will now prepare for their test against Humboldt (St. Paul, MN). The Hawks go into the St. Paul City test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Humboldt was routed by Roosevelt (Minneapolis, MN), 18-2, in a non-league test.
