The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Winona Winhawks (Winona, MN) and the host Kasson-Mantorville Komets (Kasson, MN), observed Winona's softball team get by Kasson-Mantorville by a tally of 3-2.

The Winhawks (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Albert Lea (Albert Lea, MN). The Tigers go into the Big 9 bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Albert Lea was nipped by Mankato East (Mankato, MN), 7-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Komets clash with the Concordia Academy Beacons (Roseville, MN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 12. Kasson-Mantorville will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record.
