The Marist RedHawks overwhelmed the host Shepard Astros softball squad by a count of 12-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the RedHawks meet the Lake Park Lancers (Roselle, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 12. Marist will attempt to upgrade on its 7-0 season record. The Lancers go into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 6-2 non-league win over Conant (Hoffman Estates, IL).
The Astros (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL). The Fightin' Irish go into the non-league challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Bishop McNamara toppled Timothy Christian (Elmhurst, IL), 12-1, in a league challenge.
