Southaven Chargers (Southaven, MS) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, MS), 8-7 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Southaven improves its record to 4-11 on the year. The Chargers travel to DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS) to face the Jaguars in a 7A Region 1 game on Monday, April 14. The Jaguars enter the game with a record of 21-2. DeSoto Central won 6-0 in their recent non-league game against West Union (Myrtle, MS)
The Bulldogs now hold a 4-6 record.
